CEO and Founder

Gareth, based in Northern Ireland, comes from an extensive non-profit background, where he raised millions to support young people on both sides of the atlantic. He transferred the relationships he built towards successfully running the first ever NCAA basketball tournament in Europe.

Andrew Mullaly

CTO

Andrew, based in Ireland, is a Technology Executive with broad global experience and diverse technical skills, having previously worked for Microsoft & Intel. He is adept at developing emergent technologies from concepts into transformative products and bringing world firsts to market.

Steve Bristol

Steve is based in the United States and comes to Pearsana after a 30+ year career in education in the US where he has helped to lead four different Independent Schools.  Steve's experience working with educational institutions, and the professional organizations who serve them, has primarily focused on domestic and international recruitment, strategic planning, and technologic innovation.

Over three decades of experience within US intercollegiate sport, event management and law. Since 1990 Richard has been the Commissioner of the Metro Atlantic conference (MAAC). Richard has provided leadership in a period of transition and growth in intercollegiate athletics and the MAAC. Richard has a wealth of contacts and a proven track record of delivery within Collegiate sport and is a committed advocate to the benefits of the student athlete experience.

As the Co-Founder of Sport Changes Life Foundation (SCLF), Gareth is the driving force behind the ethos and culture of the organisation. Gareth has secured significant funding over the years for the SCLF and was instrumental in securing the Harlem Globe Trotters visit to Belfast. His unique vision and drive has seen the successful roll out of the Victory Scholars programme and laterally the Belfast Invitational event.

Scott McCarthy

CEO

Scott is a highly experienced international leader who has lived and worked in seven countries.  He previously served as the Chief Executive of the British Judo Association, the Irish Basketball Association, and the Students' Union at the University of Southampton.  He began his career as a Foreign Service Officer with the US Department of State.  He was the Captain of the basketball team in his senior year at Brown University and played professionally for a number of teams in Europe after graduation.  He is highly experienced in developing sports, fundraising and events management and will play a lead role in the future development of Inspirus Sports as a key member of the Senior Management Team.

Gary Lyons

As COO, Gary operates at a senior executive level responsible for the strategic and corporate development of the business. Utilising his legal qualifications in law, compliance and mediation, Gary adds experienced senior managerial acumen to the execution of the business plan. With a master’s in international Commercial Law (LLM), Gary brings a wealth of experience in risk management, corporate and international commercial law.

Prof. Deirdre Brennan

Deirdre holds a BA Hons Sport & Leisure Studies, a PGCE (Physical Education), an MA Leisure Studies and a PhD. Deirdre established and is Director of the award-winning Ulster University Sports Outreach Unit which is dedicated to the design, development and delivery of physical activity and health Programs to young people. Deirdre pioneered the Universities’ Talented Athlete Entry Program as well as the Victory Scholar Programme.

Michelle Perry

Michelle has provided expertise and guidance to sport-related organisations focusing on strategic and business performance planning, event bidding and hosting strategies, event execution and sports facility analysis. Michelle has over 25 years of major event management experience including, 12 years at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) where she oversaw the NCA A’s Woman’s Final Four.

Marc Mulholland

Marc is a creative director with a background in advertising, marketing, media, film and production. Marc successfully delivered, the first of it’s kind, 2017 and 2018 event of the Belfast Basketball Classic delivering in marketing strategy, directing event operations and broadcasting as the Executive Director of the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic. Marc’s experience of media and TV saw him become executive producer, who negotiated and delivery ,  of the first ever CBS Sports Network live broadcast of the Belfast classic in 2017 and 2018. Marc will again showcase his unique talents in leading the Inspirus event series and multi-media offering of Inspirus Sports as he brings the message of the series to a global audience.
