Niagara University

Niagara University is a private Catholic university in the Vincentian tradition in Lewiston in Niagara County, New York. It is run by the Congregation of the Mission and has approximately 4,000 students in 50 academic programs. Founded in 1856 by the congregation of the mission all 26 of the school presidents have been Vincentian priests.

Niagara operates 5 educational colleges : the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, College of Nursing, and the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The most notable of these are the Hospitality and Tourism College which is held in high regard in the industry and is a founding member of the hotels schools of distinction. It offers unique study abroad options in Peru and with luxery hotels in Lake Como, including the number 1 rated hotel in the world Villa d'Este. Further, the College of Business is also well respected being accredited with the AACSB International accreditation which acknowledges the best 786 business schools across 53 countries. Within this, sports management students participate annually in an international sports program and work major sporting events such as the Super Bowl and NCAA March Madness.

Niagara’s campus is constantly active thanks to the campus activities office and the student government association who sponsor numerous opportunities to get involved in campus life, including concerts, comedians, and weekly late-night events. In terms of Greek life Niagara has a limited choice with 1 active fraternity and two active sororities.
